50’s-ish: White Sleeveless Blouse, Cropped Jeans And Printed Slip-On Sneakers

Something about this outfit was giving me a bit of a 50’s vibe. Yes, that was before my time, but I watched enough Grease to know what was going on. I think it’s the whole tied white blouse, cropped and cuffed jeans thing. All I needed was a short scarf knotted around my neck and penny loafers and I would’ve been rockin’ it. Fortunately the statement necklace and skull print slip-ons keep it more modern and less like an ode to Sandra Dee.
The new glasses are kind of retro too. I just got them the other day. I figured since I have to wear them all of the time I needed more than one pair. A girl’s gotta have options right? I’m really loving them. They have transition lenses so they magically turn into sunglasses when I’m outside. Yes, I’m like a child. To me glasses that turn into sunglasses are magical, kind of like leprechauns and fairies. The husband digs ’em too. He thinks they’re kind of sexy librarian like which is a bonus.
Four more days (should’ve only been three…damn snow) and school’s out. I can already hear Alice Cooper in my head. Google Alice Cooper “School’s Out” if you don’t know what I’m talking about… I am looking forward to it more than usual. Between last week’s choking incident and all of the huge changes happening (more on that later, when it’s official) I’ve been so stressed that the break will do wonders for my state of mind…and the huge knots in my shoulders…ha!

Debbie, first of all I love the new look of the blog and the bigger photos. Today’s Outfit is simple and chic. One can never go wrong with a White Button-down and Jeans. I love knotting them for Summer. Those Floral slip-ons are gorgeous and WOW from Payless!! =D I want them.

Last but not least, check out my post today where I featured one of your looks. Thanks again for allowing me to. I kindly ask that you link back to me in Tomorrow’s Post. OK, welcome by to see it.

You are entirely rockin’ that outfit!! Love those sneaks and the glasses are sharp! I’ve had those Transitions too and loved them, and am about to add them to one of my current frames. It’s so nice to not have to carry a separate pair of sunglasses.

I agree…it was getting really irritating not being able to see anything when I was outside wearing regular sunglasses.

Yes to new glasses! I wish my hubs was more supportive of them. I wear glasses exclusively so you would think I’d have tons of pairs to use as accessories, but my husband likes the ONE pair I own and refuses to even acknowledge my need for more. And since we have a joint bank account, I have to take his feelings into consideration. Sigh.

You look perfectly ready for summer in this outfit. Can’t wait to hear what your big work changes are all about. A promotion, perhaps? ;D

Haha! Sometimes boys are dumb. No promotion, but a big change. I’ll definitely write about it when I can. 🙂
