A Tale Of Two Purses: Black Cropped Joggers, Gray Tee And Leopard Slip On Sneakers

I’m not one for clutches or small purses. I have a lot of important stuff I need to carry with me I tell you! And if there’s not room for my Kindle it ain’t gonna fly. Last month when I went to the Pridefest in Pittsburgh, I bought a wristlet that I could easily carry my phone, debit card and some cash in so that I wouldn’t have to haul around my bag which I honestly could probably stash a few small children inside of. I’ve been meaning to include it in an outfit shoot because it is super cute, but I keep forgetting…see, it’s too small to remember. Anyway, I used it today when my daughter and I ran to the store. This evening we all decided we wanted Blizzards from DQ. I usually only have one per year, so this was an important trip. I grabbed my wallet and my phone (notice I said “wallet”, not “wristlet”) and off I went. I happily ordered our Blizzards at the drive thru and was two cars back when I reached for my wallet. I didn’t even open it and it hit me like a brick wall. Ya, you guessed it. My debit card was in my super cute little wristlet. In my big girl purse. On my kitchen table. NO!!! I’ve come this far, I can’t leave my Oreo Cheesecake Blizzard behind! After the overwhelming panic passed I achieved a zen-like calm. I dug around my wallet and the angels smiled down me…I found my debit card from a different account that I rarely use. Fortunately, there was enough in it to cover my Blizzards. Perhaps instead of a rainy day fund that should be my Emergency Blizzard account. In any case, this is why I really should probably just stick to my one big purse…I’m just not responsible enough to be trusted with two.
This outfit is nothing more than sweats in their natural habitat. That means paired with a gray tee and sneakers instead of a blazer and heels for those of you who might not know what the natural habitat of sweatpants is. Although this pair is a little more special because they’re cropped and have cute little pleats in the front. I wore my leopard slip ons because I felt guilty for neglecting them lately. I think they were feeling a bit put out because all I’ve been wearing is my Converse.

What a cute story. I always wondered why women carry small purses. These shoes are stylish and class up the casual outfit.

Those sweatpants look so chic with the leopard! (I’m always looking for ways to wear sweats all the time!)

I love structured purses as u know, so mine tend to be medium to larger… I only have 2 clutches as they dont have alot of room. I am ready to get a pair of pants like those, love them and they look super comfy! Do you live in Pittsburgh? That is my hometown!

I live about an hour and a half away from Pittsburgh. My son and his boyfriend live just a bit outside of the city so we were there to hang out with them.

This made me laugh. How many times have I done that? I’ve lost count. That is why I often keep my wallet in the car. At least then I can say, “I just need to run out to the car to get it.”

I even tried one of those “purses inside a purse” so that you can transfer all your stuff at once, but it never works for my small bags.

Lucky for you, you found that extra bank card. Otherwise you might in a DQ right now scrubbing dishes : )
