I was feeling an urge to wear this blazer so I built the outfit around it. With a little thought I decided straight up black and white was the way I wanted to go. Two simple graphic colors that always look great together, you really can’t go wrong. Well, I suppose you could if it was say, white leggings and a black tube top. But that’s a post for another day.
That’s actually how I always put an outfit together. I pick one piece I really want to wear, whether it be an article of clothing, shoes, or an accessory then I build from there. It completely simplifies the process of getting dressed and looking good. Instead of looking at everything you have as a whole and becoming overwhelmed, choose one piece that you’re in the mood for and go from there. I think that’s why women sometimes stand in front of a closet full of fabulous clothes and think they have nothing to wear. They are quite simply overwhelmed by the big picture. Simplify ladies and gentlemen, simplify.
