Autumn Pink

When you think of fall colors pink is definitely not the first one to pop into your head.  Soft pink is trending this fall, especially in outerwear.  And as fate would have it, I do have a pale pink peacoat that I’ve had for a long time.  It will definitely be making an appearance in the future, not because it’s “trendy”, but because I like it.   Funny thing is, I’ve worn that coat for years just because it’s pretty with absolutely no regard as to whether the fashion gods deemed it cool.
Enough about the coat.  These pants are one of my gazillion pairs of GAP broken in khakis.  I got this pair in the spring, but since I really like them I’m still wearing them now that the temperatures are below 80 degrees.  I wear my darker ones all year, so why not these? And how about that scarf…is that not the most fabulous shade of bright pink ever?

I didn’t crop this picture because of the double-dog photo bomb…it’s always the pug-a-bull, so I thought it was time the sheltie and the min pin got their 15 minutes of fame.  Again, that corner is super intriguing!  Oh. Yeah.  There’s a gargoyle photo bomb too.  He doesn’t live in the house though because he isn’t housebroken yet and his claws are hell on the furniture.

Funny how that necklace seems to work with so much when the colours are so unusual.

I love the colours here.

I just got a sweater in light pink…it is great for redheads.

The dogs always want to be where we are. Still waiting on photos of your new family member!

bisous

It is a rather strange combination, but maybe that’s why it works with so much.
I know, my babies always have to be where their humans are…and that’s fine with me! I do have a few pics of our new little boy that the breeder has sent me. She’s promised to send me a couple every week or so because I want to make a little photo album for daddy. He’s still so tiny and absolutely adorable…I’ll email you a picture or two.

Haha, about the gargoyle claws on furniture. Cute lil shelty, her colors are so dark and different.

Yes, she is unique…and she has the most beautiful face! My sheltie we had before her (he was the best dog in the world I might add) was also sable, but he had more brown in him.

And no, gargoyles do not make good house pets, although we do have two that sit in the living room! They aren’t permitted on the furniture.

Hello! I’m visiting from Agi @ Vodka Infused Lemonade’s linkup today! I agree with you that pink isn’t the first color that comes to mind when we think of fall, but I really like your sweater and scarf! The colors are so pretty. =)

Hi Amber! Thanks for stopping by! I do like pink and sometimes something a little lighter in color is nice instead of all the darkness…

I love the softer tones in this look which is a nice change from the darker tones we see this time of year! Thanks for sharing with Three-fer Thursday!

I do like darker fall/winter colors, but it is nice to change it up once in awhile!

Don’t ya just love when the doggies get into the act? Adorable sweater you have. I love the variegated yarns and textures. My Mom loved anything with variegated yarns and so do I, because of her love for it. See you at Fashion item Friday? hope hope?

They are always with me when I go out to do pictures. Most every time there’s at least one dog photo bomb, but they usually get cropped out of the pic! Isn’t it funny how we pick up little things like that from our moms? It’s like me and my mom’s yellow sweater.
Of course I’ll be at your link up, silly girl!

Don’t you feel just a bit smug when something gets popular that you already have and have been wearing? Me too! :o)
