If you look verrrry closely, on the index finger of my left hand you’ll see several band aids. I’m starting a new trend. I’m rockin’ it, I own it, I think it’s fabulous. Remember folks, you saw it here first. No, actually there’s a lesson to be learned from the bandages on my finger. Never ever, I repeat, never ever attempt to use a newly sharpened kitchen knife to slice butter (yes, I said butter…give me a minute to explain) while jacked up on pain medication. Consider this a public service announcement. I had part deux of the root canal Monday, and Tuesday I was again on my couch all day in a drug-induced haze. Dinner time rolled around and I thought I was more than capable of handling it. Um, ya. Apparently not. I mean seriously, who cuts butter with a machete? Although much blood was involved, no stitches were required. Don’t fret my lovelies…I’m all better now, my teeth are functioning at 100%, and I still have 100% of my index finger so all is well.
On to the outfit. Love me some tulle, oh yes I do. I paired it with chambray to tone down the frilly fluffiness of it. Somehow though, even with just regular boots, it seemed to be giving off a western vibe. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. The last time I wore this skirt I intentionally cowboyed it up with cowboy boots and it was fab, but that wasn’t what I was going for today. Regardless, any day involving tulle and all ten fingers is a good day.
