Batman And Robin…And A Tree Sprite

For the first time since college (and we won’t go into how long ago that was) I dressed up for Halloween.  My “adopted” daughter went out and bought the costumes, so how could I say no?  Yes, I know.  I’m an elementary teacher, and what kind of crappy elementary teacher doesn’t dress up for the biggest kid holiday of the year?!  What can I say, I guess I’m still a high school teacher at heart and shenanigans such as that are frowned upon over in the big kid building.  Every year since I’ve been at the elementary, my hallway Christmas bulletin board is the Grinch, so what does that tell ya?
And how gorgeous is my daughter in her tree sprite costume?  My husband came up with the idea, and he was my consultant when I put it all together.  Obviously he is the creative genius at our house!

Your costume looks like so much fun. Was that another teacher with you as your Robin?

Your daughter is stunning.

I have to agree with you…I thought my daughter looked absolutely beautiful! Robin was my classroom aide who has become an additional daughter to my husband and I over the course of the last few years. Our daughter and our boys refer to her as their sister… 🙂

Two bags…she’ll still have some left when Easter gets here! Aren’t the ears awesome? I told her she should wear them to perform in the Christmas concert so she could be elf-like (I was just messin’ with her!). She didn’t seem to think that was a good idea!

Oh Debbie, you did a great job on your costumes. I love your daughters and how she is posing like a tree sprite. I LOVE IT!!! Yes, thank you for linking up at Fashion item Friday and for your fun post. Yes, those camo flats are so great. To me, they are actually warm with out socks. I have a nude shiny pair and they aren’t so much. Have a restful weekend!

I did a whole little photo shoot with her out in the yard. The pics are absolutely stunning! They look professional if I do say so myself!
Ya know, when I saw those flats on you, I realized that I haven’t really worn them yet…have to get them out in the light of day this week…

I’ve just never been into Halloween…weird I know, but it just doesn’t interest me. The costumes came from a local Halloween store that pops up every fall. As much as I’m not into Halloween, our kids have always had fabulous costumes. Even when my son was little, every year my husband would come up with something really cool and then we’d make it for him.
