Black Lace And A Gray Tee

I got the idea for this outfit from Pinterest quite awhile ago.  I love the idea of pairing the lace with a totally casual plain t-shirt.  It’s comfortable yet still appropriate for work.  Yes, I said it…work.  Today is the first day of school for me, you can’t delay the inevitable.  One of the advantages to it though is now I have way more outfit options.  The weather will be turning cooler, and I actually have somewhere to be every day where people expect me to look at least halfway presentable.  I just don’t get the chance to wear a lot of my favorite things in the summer.  Seriously, who’s going to be sportin’ a blazer or chunky knit sweater when it’s 90 degrees and 75% humidity?  Not this girl, that’s for sure.

Style Tip:  Done correctly, casual and dressy play well together and give you a lot more options when deciding what to wear.

Who would have ever thought that lace would turn out to be a tool in the modern girl’s style-box. Edgy and sweet at the same time, and this skirt a flattering length on you, lady.
Very smart.
