Black Out

I figured today would be a good day to wear all black.  That way it would be easier to spot me if I got lost outside in the polar vortex.  Yes, I’m excited.  I learned yet another new weather term. Although the terms “flash freeze” and “polar vortex” bring to mind one of my favorite movies, The Day After Tomorrow.  I gotta say that movie scared the hell out of me.  A good, realistic end of the world movie is far more horrifying to me than some crazed lunatic chasing teenagers with an ax.
So for now, until the vortex decides to return to it’s proper home in the North Pole, I’m staying wrapped up in layers made up of sweats, a chunky cardigan, robe, blankets, fuzzy slippers, and my dogs. School is already cancelled for tomorrow so I imagine I’ll stay holed up on my couch buried under the aforementioned layers and dogs watching Netflix and drinking steaming hot coffee.

Looking gorgeous in all black. And that necklace is just stunning. Hey I learned a new weather term too. Sounds too cold to fathom. Hope you’re keeping warm in any and every way possible.

Thanks! It’s a great movie. No need to be confused love…a) it was super cold and my legs needed protection and b) I wanted a bit of neutral print with the all black.
It’s good to see you’re back!

Oh my goodness girl!!! Your hair just flames against all black. WOW! I am trying not to be too jealous of your skirt right now, I REALLY don’t need another black skirt in my closet. Plus, I have a beautiful blue faux leather sitting right beside my sewing machine just waiting to be made into a skirt. Maybe I’ll skip cleaning tomorrow and sew instead. :o)
