Okay, I wasn’t dumpster diving per se, but I did spend the majority of my weekend in a dumpster. That got your attention, now didn’t it?
My love and I rented a giant roll-off dumpster this weekend (yes, I live such a glamorous life) so that we could rid our garage and various other areas of the insane amount of clutter we’ve acquired over the course of living in the same place for 22 years. Do you realize how much crap can accumulate over that much time? Well, I’m here to tell ya, A. Lot. This dumpster is so big it has a door on the end. You know, so you can stroll right inside your spacious dumpster and fill it up with all the things that didn’t make the cut. We were merciless too; nothing was safe. And to be honest, I found so many things that I looked at and thought, “Um, ya..what is that and why exactly did I keep it?” The garage is now totally done and I have to say I feel almost, I don’t know…lighter? I’m not sure if that’s the word I’m looking for, but it just feels so good knowing the garage is clutter free; I guess I didn’t realize what a subconscious stressor it was. And bonus points because I don’t have to worry about losing the min pin out there amidst the rubble anymore.
I realize this might just look like a basic black tee, (and it’s 50% off!) but I have to tell you, it is right in the tee sweet spot. Of course I have other black tees; my Stylemint tee used to be my favorite, but this one has knocked it down a notch. What puts this one in the sweet spot of tee perfection? It’s soft and drapey and has barely there rolled sleeves…that’s what puts it over the top. Why? Well, sleeveless is good when it’s warm, but also when it’s cooler out and you want to layer under a blazer or cardigan; therefore, black tee perfection. Since the black tee is the star of today’s show, everything else is super simple; denim boyfriend shorts and wedge sandals. Nothing fancy, just perfection.
