Camo Pants, Pink Fuzzy Sweater & Leopard Pumps: The Thin Camo Line

You all know of my ongoing love affair with camo. I know, I’ve kinda got a thing with plaid too. Fortunately they are both pretty understanding and allow me to love them both with very little squabbling. Here’s the thing about camo, and actually plaid as well now that I think about it. It can be one of two things; a super cool fashion statement or an “I’m headin’ out to the woods for a week to find a new head to hang on the wall” statement. Personally, I’m a fan of the former. Animal heads belong on animal bodies not my living room wall. (I don’t mean to offend, I just don’t want animal heads on my wall. If that’s what you’re into, then kudos.)

When I wear camo, I always make sure that the cut and style of the item is fashiony and a little unexpected like these camo pants from GAP. I also tend to pair camo with something girly to counterbalance it. Hence, the fuzzy pink sweater and leopard pumps. If I stopped by Walmart after work I’m pretty sure no one is going to make the mistake of thinking that I’m stopping to grab a gallon of milk on my way home from gutting a deer. At least I hope so anyway. My point is, when going with a print like camo you want to prevent it from looking too hunter-esque or military. Making sure that at least one of your other pieces is most definitely feminine is the way to go.

That top is so pretty! I don’t think anyone will mistake you for a hunter with this combination! (Maybe if you added in a little neon orange… 😉 )

Not sure if I told you this before but you can pull off pink quite well Debbie. I cannot wait to see the pink scarf from the drug store by the way!

Your camo, soft pink and leopard combination is both edgy and feminine. You pull it off as usual, Debbie. =)

Happy Valentine’s Week! <3 Ada.

I agree with all comments. Then again, we all know about my love affair with juxtaposition. Stay tuned tomorrow for my iteration of such.

(P.S. – Pink fuzzy sweater?! You’re my hero!)

Cute combination, for the reason you provide. I also dislike the activity of separating animals from their heads.

This looks great. Love the pattern mix with the shoes and pants, and really love the olive in the camo with the baby pink. Great colors together and the sweater looks cozy!

I like how you’ve mixed the feminine trend with the camo. Love the leopard print too.

So CUTE!!!! I’m told no one wears pink like a redhead, and while I’m pretty clear it doesn’t apply to me as much, you clearly are the illustration of the rule! So much good nature and approachability in this outfit. What a styling coup, lady. Love all your patterns and jewels and fuzziness together. You rock, as always.
