Candy Canes

Here’s another festive without being over the top outfit.  The candy canes are cute and Christmas-like without looking like a Christmas display blew up in my face.  To keep it further toned down, I opted for the black and white striped blazer as opposed to the more expected red one.  But of course I had to throw in the red booties because, well, who doesn’t love red suede ankle booties?  They are kind of the all occasion boot.
Can I just say how exhausted I am?  Any of you who own dogs and can remember back to when they were puppies will agree.  It’s much like having a human infant, am I right?  Up and down all night for potty runs (which is especially fun in 15 degree weather with about six inches of snow); the middle of the night whimpering and crying that requires cuddles and occasionally play time.  And then when my husband gets up at 3:30 a.m. to get ready for work I have to keep Bawb amused because he doesn’t understand that Daddy can’t sit on the floor and play right then. I’m not complaining at all though, I wouldn’t trade this for the world. There’s nothing like a warm little ball of fur who wants nothing more than love, play time, and food.  In return you get what in my opinion, is the purest form of love there is.

I do remember that having a puppy is a whole lot of work but also a whole lot of fun as you described. Do your other pups help out at all? I’d always heard if you have more than one dog it is easier since they bond with the other dogs.

That is a very cute tee and of course I love the red booties.

Are you feeling 100% now after being so sick? Maybe that is also why you are feeling tired.

bisous

The pug/bull mix does help a lot…she has kind of adopted Bawb. Most morning she stays in the kitchen and plays with him while I get ready for work. The other two girls are still being a bit snotty with him!

Great style! Oh, the puppy thing — I would think of it as bonding! It’s exhausting, yeah, but like you say, you wouldn’t have it any other way. Puppies are precious!
