Prior to the horrendous sinus infection of 2015, I received a veritable plethora of goodies from Kushyfoot to try out. Since I’m always on the lookout for the perfect low cut foot cover (I myself call them “footies”) to wear with my flats and Converse I was definitely game to give them a try. The foot covers are actually pretty great. They are low enough that they don’t show, which is a must. But the thing that really does set them apart from the footies I already have? The cotton padded sole my friends. Honestly, I was skeptical that they would be all that different from the pairs I have from Walmart. But that little bit of ridged padding does make a difference. It kind of feels like you have soft socks on that give you just a bit of cushion. I’ve also tried the lace toe covers under my floral kitten heels (seen here) and they worked really well to protect the tootsies from rubbing inside the shoe. The one product that I wasn’t super crazy about were the Flats To Go. It’s actually a brilliant concept since they roll up and fit in your purse so that you have them handy if your heels get to be too much. I received the fleecy leopard pair and I think the fleeciness is where the problem lies. Don’t get me wrong, they are super comfortable, but the fleece material makes them a bit too slipper-esque. In a different material I’d be all for ’em.
Yes, this is the same cold shoulder dress that you may have seen here. This time though, I dressed it up. Instead of Converse I went with my favorite platform sandals. I swapped out the delicate layered necklaces for some more heavy duty neck artillery. And the finishing touch? The lace vest. It added a touch of girliness and elevated the dress from casual to fancy casual. In case you’ve never noticed, “fancy casual” is kinda my thing. Actually maybe I should coin the term. And look how easy it was. All it took was lace and a tweak in the shoes and accessories.
