Corduroy And Sequins

Gotta love that time of year when you can pull out the cords.  These are my favorites because of the golden brown color.  In a recent post I mentioned shopping in the geriatric department at Walmart.  Well, I wasn’t kidding.  That’s where this fab cardigan came from.  It’s just the right weight to hang nicely yet still be cozy.  And I’m pretty sure only crazy cool old ladies would rock it, although maybe not with a full-on sequined top.
In my continuing battle to get over my aversion to hats, today I decided to sport a little knit beret/beanie hybrid.  It wasn’t until I was looking at the pictures on my computer that I realized it totally blended in with the tree in the background, and it wasn’t really visible.  Honest…it’s really there.  I wouldn’t lie, I don’t want to mess up my twelve step fear of hats program.

Style Tip:  Mix unexpected elements together like a grandma cardi and sequins.  Quirky is good.

The beanie is cute and I love that sequin top. Great Autumn colours too.

Good on you for addressing that hat fear.

It’s a process…ha! I just picked up a few beanies and two super cool hats on Ebay over the weekend. I’m outta control.

You know Debbie, what is funny about ‘sequins’ (not just that it is in my blog name) but when you wear them down the front of a top. If you don’t have on long sleeves — they hurt. They rub the skin and sort of like little teeny paper cuts. youuuuch! lol Yes, quirky is good but the cardi protects the armies, huh? LOL

and …zip to me and link up on my NEW BLOG HOP. Yes, checkit and see, m,kay? I would love to have you join and share the love.

I have to agree…as much as I love sequins they can be a tad uncomfortable. This particular top isn’t too bad though.

I love this look oh so much! I am on the hunt for a new sequin top. I had to get rid of my old one due to the way it was attacking my arms (Renae knows what I’m talking about), but I think it was the stupid fishing line like thread the sequins were sewn on with that was the bad guy.

Thank you! It does seem that the thread used to attach sequins is often the culprit…good luck on the hunt for a top!
