Cujo The Trained Attack Spider: Pink Moto Jacket, Distressed Skinnies And Fringed Ankle Booties

There’s a crack with a small hole in our shower right above the faucet. It’s one of those things that, you know, we’ll get around to fixing one of these days. The night before last while I was washing my daughters hair I looked over, and there, perched on the faucet, is a wolf spider the size of my miniature pinscher’s head. Okay, an exaggeration. But it was indeed the size of a half dollar. I screamed like a little girl…actually with a little girl since my daughter was screaming too. With all of the hubbub the spider of course scuttled into the hole. My husband who’s currently got a bum wing and is temporarily unable to fulfill his spider killing duties, assured us that the spider was more afraid of us then we were of it. Umm…ya…right.
Later that night I went in to wash my hair. I verrrry carefully reached to pull up the knob on the faucet, and I kid you not, that freakin’ spider dove out of the hole at me. Like he was waiting. Stalking his prey. Looking for just the right moment to strike. WTH??!! Then he sat there. Literally sat there. And stared me down…waiting for my next move. So I of course did what any self-respecting grown woman would do. I grabbed my hair spray and doused his furry spider ass. This caused a rapid retreat into his evil lair. I haven’t seen him since then, but I have no doubt he’s in the wall plotting revenge. And I’m sure his hair looks fabulous.
This is my most favorite of my moto jackets. I love how the soft pink opposes the biker chick vibe. The opposition is what makes it interesting. I’ve paired it with skirts before and it looks just as good as it does with the distressed skinnies. And hey, can we talk about these fine, fine booties for a moment? I don’t what I love more, the soft taupe color or the swishy fringe. I think it’s a combination of the two that makes them so fabulous. I didn’t love them nearly as much in black as I do in the taupe. I’m pretty sure these will stay in steady rotation throughout the year.
Last but not least, I’ve included a round-up of my favorite looks from November. As you can see, it was a big month for pants in my world. You can check out the original posts here: Outfit 1Outfit 2Outfit 3 and Outfit 4.

Jacket: Charlotte Russe (Old);  Jeans: JCPenney (Old);  Sweater: Old Navy (Old);  Booties: Tilly’s

Laughed out loud in your description of the spider. Evil lair!! Hilarious 🙂 Sometimes we have similar encounters in our bathroom as there are SO MANY spiders in the NW. Can totally relate. Similar screams can be heard here as well. :-)) On a fashion note great round up with lovely fall looks. The pinkish hue on that moto jacket is so pretty. I am a girl who likes contrasts myself. XOXO, Elif

OMG! I don’t think I would ever be able to step into that bathroom until that well coiffed spider was banished. Those wolf ones especially! They are so hairy!!! My husband has been overseas for about 2 weeks now and a couple days after he left I went downstairs where I have my crafting/sewing area set up with large lights overhead. A massive spider had weaved a web from the overhead lamp down to my craft table. It must have been almost 3 feet wide! In the middle sat the fat bastard. Okay, not so fat, but scary and mean… Read more »

hahaha laughed so hard about the spider. lol! I call my husband the bug assassin because I make him kill everything around the house. Spiders outside are usually okay with me but I FREAK when they are in the house. That’s supposed to be my safe zone! lol! Anyway, love your outfits, especially lose fringed boots. So cute!

I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of spiders either. I had over 100 spiders nests in my yard a couple of years ago when I took down some trees. I remember giving them a spray of something too! I like all of these outfits especially the long tartan duster coat with graphic tee!

Yes, the booties are fantastic, but let’s talk for a minute about that red scarf! J’adore! And you didn’t tell where you got it. Argh. Now I’m gonna have to study it and try to knit one myself…

Not a fan of spiders so that would totally freak me out and make me scream too. I just ordered a pink moto jacket from Piperlime and a pair of Toms wedge booties in similar colors. I can’t wait to get them.

The story about the killer spider is hilarious! It’s EXACTLY what I would have done, and I’ve done it in the past. I LOVE this light moto jacket and the fringe booties together! It’s a great pairing! Thanks for sharing this with Celebrate Southern dear! xoxo

You look fabulous in your jacket and fringed boots, just beautiful and your spider story was so funny! Any more traces of him? My hubby has had plenty of encounters with wolf spiders in the shower and it has not been pretty, it must be like a bar to them to hang around the shower or something. Thank you for linking up with “Bloggers Who Have Inspired Me” Rachel xo
