I will be heading out to the pharmacy this morning to pick up some prescriptions….
THE STORY
…Sounds exciting right? Right now you’re probably asking yourself, “Is she seriously so small town that she’s writing a post about going to the drugstore?!” Well, yes and no. This trip to the drugstore has a twist. I’m picking up one for the husband and one for the dog. Wait…what??? The dog? Yes, my friends and not just any prescription, it’s Xanax. For my dog. At the human pharmacy. How weirdly awkward is that going to be? It’s my own fault. Charley was running low on pills and I forgot to call the vet. When I did, he was leaving to go out of town. He didn’t want her to be without her meds so he asked me what pharmacy to call it in to. I was like, umm…do you mean a people pharmacy? What do I say when I go to pick it up? He said, “Tell them you’re picking up a prescription for Charley Stinedurf.” Duh…Ya, this is going to be amusing. And just so you all know, I am not some lunatic who keeps my dogs all drugged up and stoned. My dogs all know I frown upon their use of illegal drugs and alcohol. No dog parties at my house. Charley actually has really severe separation anxiety and she’s very tense all of the time. I just want her to calm down enough to enjoy being a dog. Because really what fun is it being a dog if you’re too uptight to enjoy it?
