The other day I gathered up a group of my sixth graders to go to my room to take a Science test. As we’re walking down the steps, one of my students asked where we were going. I told him to my classroom to take the test. His response? And mind you, he was being serious. “Do you mean to your classroom at the elementary?” Ummm…what? Being my sarcastic self, I said, “Yes, we’re taking a field trip to the elementary. I don’t actually work at the middle school, I just come up here to follow you guys around during my free time.” He looked at me for a minute and then said, “Nuh uh. We are not.” Now there’s some higher order thinking skills at their finest.
Today’s outfit includes something that I don’t think has ever been on the blog. Full length dress pants. I know a week or so ago I wore a pair of dress pants and told you all that was a seldom seen event (here). But even those pants were cuffed. My dress pants, when I on occasion wear them, are always either cropped or I cuff them. Always. I even typically cuff these, but I figured I’d try living on the edge today and left them long with pumps. And can I say how much I love these pumps? Even though they have a heel they don’t seem to bother my foot all that much. Black pumps with a cute bow and no pain? I’m in.
