Floral Slip Dress, Black Sweater & Ankle Booties: Summer Hair

So, yeah. I had this theory. If I colored my hair back to it’s summer shade, the weather would follow suit. I’m not crazy…I wasn’t expecting 75 degrees and sunshine. All I was asking for was something above 0 and maybe two or three feet less snow. You all can see how well that worked out for me. As a matter of fact this coming Friday’s overnight low is -15. No, not with wind chill. Straight up -15. WTH winter?? I just keep telling myself that one month from now this will all be over. A girl can dream, right?

Keeping with the “stuck in the Arctic, wishing it was the Bahamas” theme, I winterized my floral slip dress. Honestly, that’s not rocket science. I simply threw a black sweater over top, fleece lined leggings, socks and booties underneath and ta-da! A winterized summer dress. Oh, and I threw in the flower necklace for another dose of pretend summer.

The lighter hair is lovely.

My Mom who lives on the west coast was telling me that all the flowers and trees are blooming right now. Just to make me super jealous. This has been our worst Feb in 43 years. I’m SO over it!

Nice Winter take on a beautiful skirt. I bought a similar one last week but yours is cuter. Then again, you are cuter so I guess that’s the Universe at work…

I won’t say a word about our weather in SoCal right now because that would just be downright cruel. Instead, I shall comment effusively on your hair color and kick myself for once again spending my fashion/beauty budget on more dresses I don’t need instead of hieing myself to my stylist for a much-needed hair touch-up of my own. ;p

P.S. When you upgraded your blog to the new theme, did you deliberately make it so EVERY comment needed moderation? Doesn’t it usually work that once you approve one comment from a specific person, then all further comments from that specific person should be good to go? Sigh. I miss those days… ;p

I would have never guessed that was a dress. The print is so pretty and you made it work for Winter. Gorgeous flower necklace, too.

Oh boy…you truly have my deepest sympathy with respect to your frigid weather, dearest Debbie!! We’ve enjoyed spring-like temperatures in Vancouver for weeks already – all our cherry blossoms are out! – but my parents in Toronto and my sister in New Brunswick are dealing with tons of snow and bitter cold, too!! It certainly makes outfit blogging challenging…but you’re coming up aces with this “winterized” floral maxi dress and lace-up booties combo!! So cute!! XOXO

I am getting my hair done next month (March) and I am going to go lighter, because Spring needs to get here! I love that skirt and that necklace together… I have a similar necklace, but in a coral color. Love your lip color, too!

Love the new lighter hair and sorry to hear about the extended winter….you need to come out to CA where’s it’s a chilly 60s this week. And seriously that is cold for us, I will see lots of people in ugg boots & beanies today (well they maybe in shorts).

Thank you for joining TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you next week. Have a great weekend!
