Girly, But Not Too Girly: Pink Midi Skirt, Graphic Tee And White Sandals

Aaahhh…this skirt. I’m so in love with it right now. I even got past the high-waistedness of it. I never, ever wear anything high-waisted because a) it’s just too damn uncomfortable, and b) my torso is about 4 inches long, so for me anything cut high in the waist ends up fitting me like a jumpsuit. With that being said, the only other thing with a high waist that you might see me wearing will be this skirt in lavender…and maybe light blue….
I first became obsessed a while back because of my friend Alice at Happiness at Mid-Life. She looked so crazy gorgeous in her pink midi skirt and she looked like it just made her happy. See Exhibit A:

Happy and gorgeous, right? So, how could I not want some of that fabulousness for myself? I hunted around until I found a similar little beauty at boohoo.com. It got here yesterday and I had to wear it today because sometimes I’m like a little kid at Christmas. I gotta tell ya…if you’ve never purchased anything from boohoo.com I highly recommend checking them out. (This is not sponsored, purely my own opinion) The prices are super affordable and the quality of the clothing (and shoes) is great. The sizing is consistent. I’ve ordered the same size every time I’ve bought anything and the items always fit. The shipping is super fast too, which is impressive since it’s coming from Ireland.
I couldn’t go full on ladylike which obviously Alice did to absolute perfection. You know me, I had to casual it up a bit. So I paired it with a knotted graphic tee, and since it was 86 degrees today (yes, 86) I had to go with sandals on the bottom. The possibilities for styling this skirt are endless and I can’t wait to try it all different ways.

P.S. I, too, have a four-inch torso. But I actually like wearing high-waisted things. Go figure…

That is such a lovely midi skirt! The pink is so cute, especially paired with the nice pastel tee 🙂 Always good to get inspiration from others and find a new wardrobe favourite in the process! Alice is a great blogger.
