Goin’ Huntin’ Skirt

Ya, maybe if I hunted.  And maybe if it made sense to be tromping through the woods and climbing up to a tree stand in a skirt.  Since both of those are a negative, I guess this is just my really cool camo maxi skirt. Fortunately since it’s camouflage that’s means I can hide things with it.  For example, thermal underwear or fleece lined leggings since we’re going to be flash frozen over night tonight.
Did you know that’s an actual meteorological term? Flash freeze? Me neither.  And that says a lot because I’m a total weather nerd.  I have a shortcut to the Weather Channel on my home and work computers and apps on my phone and tablet.  I track storms for amusement.  I know, I’m a freak.  What can I say, I’m a woman of many interests.  In any case, we do have a weather warning through Wednesday morning…wind chills between -30 and -40 and tonight (Sunday night) a flash freeze because there’s a rain/snow mix going on right now and the temperatures are going to drop fast and far…hence, flash freeze.  How do you like that? You got a dose of fashion, plus you learned something.  You’re welcome.

I really like your denim top with the belt!! And yesterday I was wearing a floor-length skirt with leggings underneath–it’s a good way to stay warm!

I need to start wearing my belts more often. Maxis are a great way to hide all kinds of things!

Oh Debbie, I love this ensemble. I love the brooch. I thought it was a necklace at first. I love those brooches, what happened to that trend? We need to bring in back, huh? Yes, leggings or thermals under the skirt is perfect; stylish and warm solution. Thanks for your vote of confidence on my post today. Also, I need to send you the “I was featured” button, but I seem to have misplaced it. I’ll rustle it up, soon. (look in email for it) ♥

This is something I would totally steal from your closet and wear. Especially since you can layer like crazy under it to stay warm. The only down side with long skirts like this is they get dirty and wet in the snow.

Happy New Year and stay warm…those wind chills are BRUTAL.

bisous
Suzanne

You keep my love of camo going strong! :o) Hubby found a real Army camo jacket for me when we were thrifting over Christmas holiday!!! I have wanted one for.ev.er! Really, my pre-teen self wanted one!!! :o) They’re really not hard to find at thrift shops/garage sales, but I never could find one in my size. Hubby on the other hand has multiple colors/styles of Army camo.
