To be honest with you, I had never ordered anything from Romwe before now…
THE STORY
…I had perused the sight before, but I was always apprehensive because I knew that the sizing often ran small at the Asian retailers and I was also unsure of the quality. When Romwe approached me in regard to a collaboration I figured, “Why not?” At least then I would have some idea in regard to sizing and quality. I chose this gray t-shirt dress because gray and comfortable are two of my favorite things. I was actually really pleased when I received the dress. I had sized up from a medium to a large just to be safe and truthfully a medium would have been fine. It’s soft and the material is the perfect thickness; substantial, but with that just right amount of drapiness that I love. I washed it and then dried it in the dryer for about 15 minutes before allowing it to hang dry the rest of the way. It came out beautifully with not a hint of shrinkage. Another thing I really like about it is that it can be dressed up or down and it will make a great layering piece. A jacket or sweater could easily be added over top or leggings or skinny jeans underneath.
THE OUTFIT
There were so many things I could have done with the dress, but I decided to keep it simple this time. I considered adding a low slung belt, but honestly I was just in the mood for minimal fuss and so I let the extras do the talking. The fringe clutch alone did the most talking…seriously, it wouldn’t shut up. But can you blame it? All of that buttery soft fringe fabulousness; I’m seriously crushing on it at the moment. It doesn’t hurt that I got it on clearance at Nordstrom Rack for $17.99 and it was originally $79. The burgundy booties are my favorites from last year and the burgundy bandana made it all a little more interesting; kind of like the cherry on top of my simplicity sundae.
THE TIP
Sometimes simple is better, but you can always make it interesting by adding a stand-out item or two.
