Hello There: Graphic Sweatshirt, Faux Leather Skirt, Studded Flats

This is the other sweatshirt that I got from Old Navy last month.  When I bought it I thought the words were red, but they’re actually sort of coral. The original plan was to pair it with either my plaid pants or my plaid skirt, but the coral just wasn’t gonna fly, so out came the black skirt. And yes, it would’ve looked better with heels as opposed to flats. Unfortunately I’ve developed some foot issues over the last few years and even though the last couple days involved wedges and lower heels my feet were still killing me, therefore flats. I guess if you gotta wear flats, studded ones are the way to go though, am I right?
Although the super Arctic temperatures are gone for now, as I write this we’re just getting the beginning of a supremely large snow dump. There’s supposed to be about ten inches by morning. I realize it’s still February, but is Spring ever coming? I mean never ever? Can’t we have a sneak peak…couldn’t Spring at least Instagram us a photo of what we have to look forward to? Besides the fact I miss my flowers and going out without twelve layers of protective clothing, I really, really miss all of my cute shoes. I know, I know, by September I’ll be missing my ankle booties, but is a pair of strappy wedge sandals really too much to ask for?

That black skirt is looking great! As is your hair.

I don’t even know what to say about winter. I just want to crawl back in bed and cry. We are in the middle of yet another snow storm right now. I think when my husband gets back I’m seriously going to look and see if we can’t get away somewhere warm. This is messing with my mind now. Of course he is in Australia right now and the last time we Facetimed he was sporting a very bad burn. I’m sure he won’t need to get away.

bisous

My hair always looks great right before I chop it off…kind of like a hair guilt trip. Australia?! What’s he doing there? I so wish I could go somewhere warm…this winter is really kicking my butt.

Nice sweatshirt. I think it may have worked with the red plaid because it’s similar in color. 🙂 Spring will be here soon enough.

Thanks Mo! I considered it with the plaid because the colors were far enough away from each other…

I really like your leather skirt! I have seen a few around but they always seem too short for work and I don’t go out enough to justify it. This one is a great length!

We are getting hammered with the weather. More 2 hour delays than I can count and we already have 3 snow days (counting today) that we have to make up…and it’s only the beginning of February!

The sweatshirt looks great with the skirt. I also like how you jazzed it up with the statement necklace. You look terrific. I am tired of winter too. We just had a snow storm again here and it remains cold as usual. I’ve had enough of layering but what’s a woman to do when Mother Nature calls the shots.
