Today you’re getting something just a little bit different than usual…
…a Saturday post and the dressed up version of me. The reason for the Saturday post is that Thursday night was Open House and after the hell week I’ve had, I was just too exhausted to post yesterday. The reason for playing dress up? Also Open House. See, I’ve told you guys I can clean up pretty well.
I had originally picked up this mixed print sheath dress at JCPenney for my Pittsburgh Styleweek adventure, but when my daughter said, “Ooo…that would be pretty for the first day of school!” I nixed it as an option for my first fashion outing. I thought about returning it, but the colors and prints were so stand-out, I decided to keep it. Seriously, aren’t the prints stellar? I love mixing my prints, so the fact that the dress came “premixed” was a bonus. When it starts to cool down, it will pair well with a cardigan or blazer, and I’m thinking it will be pretty sweet in the winter with a chunky sweater over top and boots too. The hair is still up because the temperature inside the school still feels like it’s about 120 degrees…needless to say, hair down is not an option.
