Not Quite Warm Enough: Buffalo Plaid, Striped Tee And Black Skinny Jeans

One would think that this super thick and cozy flannel shirt over a tee shirt would be enough to keep you warm while you’re indoors.  Um, no.  It wasn’t.  Apparently I have not yet adapted to the new reality that is our weather around here.  Below 0 temperatures aren’t the norm, but this year they are!  In light of the fact I was freezing at work, I made creative use out of my infinity scarf that I wore with my coat.  I put my arms through it and turned it into this weird shawl/vest hybrid.  Maybe not super stylish, but at least I was warm. Next month when I get my fancy new phone I can snap shots of my creativity on the fly and share it with all of you on Facebook, Twitter, and who knows…maybe Instagram.  Yes, I’ve been getting all kinds of crazy with my social networking stuff lately. And I truly would’ve shared a snap of that scarf/shawl/vest because believe me, it was an example of my mad styling skills at their finest.

Oh, I love that necklace!! And I’ve just started wearing blankets on top of everything all around the house…and then when I go out I never take off my winter coat! Boring…but ya gotta stay warm somehow!

I know exactly how you wore your scarf…I’ve had to do the same myself once. :o)

As for social media…Instagram is great if you’re a picture person. I tend to scroll through Facebook looking for picture updates and totally skip the Status updates. :o)

Whatever it takes to keep warm, right? I always though twitter and instagram were silly, but I can see the purpose for the blog…

Love the bold plaid with the stripes.

Seriously when it gets too cold anything and everything goes.

Red is lovely on you.. speaking of warm, I was very disappointed that it is getting warmer here! But I heard it will go down again before the scorching days hit us again..

Cooler weather does give you more outfit options, but I’m so over it this year!

Lots of impact, this outfit! Great combination for maximum effect with apparently minimal effort. This defines effortless chic, in my book, with a pinch of attitude. Great colors for you, lady.
