These pants are yet another pair of my much loved GAP broken in straight khakis which I own in a plethora of colors (here, here, here and yet again here). I told you, a veritable plethora of colors…and that’s not all of the colors I even own. Crazy? Maybe. But when you find pants that fit well, are flattering and affordable I see no reason to not have a collection. Seriously, it’s a lot more fun than collecting stamps. Why Pennsylvania Pants? Well, there’s a pair of camo jeans on the Tilly’s site and the name they gave them is Pennsylvania Pants which totally cracked me up. I cannot emphasize enough how apt that name is for a pair of camo pants. Camouflage should be our state color. When people aren’t rockin’ their pj’s at Walmart it’s camo and rubber boots. And usually a stained t-shirt. Perhaps if I wear these on my weekend grocery run I’ll fit in better.
I just scored the sandal/booties at Sears the other day for $14.99. I’ve been kind of informally looking for a pair like these for awhile and $14.99 is crazy cheap so I scooped ’em up. I wore them on a preliminary school clothes shopping trip with my daughter today. They’re comfortable because the heel is nice and solid and not too high. Buuuttt…they rubbed the mother of all blisters on the front of one of my big toes. So me thinks if I wear them barefoot again I will preemptively strike and put a band aid blister bandage on my toe first. BTW, those things are fab, and I always keep a few extras in my purse just in case I have a shoe issue. The top kind of photographed like a tee, but it’s actually a lightweight short sleeve sweatshirt. It’s soft and light enough for cooler days now and I’ll be able to layer it in the winter too so bonus points for versatility.
