Pink And Gray Floatiness

I’m a complete sucker for anything floaty and drapey.  When I saw this top online at Target I knew we were meant to be together.  So much so that I bought it in two colors.  It’s super soft and comfortable, but a tad bit thin for cooler weather so I threw a cami on under it.  And can we talk about the button detail on the back?  That was just icing on the floaty drapey cake.
Yes, I figure this outfit could have done without the socks, but guess what? My feet were cold so I wore ’em anyways.  I’m a Shorty McShorty pants with muscular calves so ankle socks are risky business for me to begin with. But I like ankle socks with booties so what are ya gonna do?  Speaking of cold feet, later this week we’re supposed to get rain mixed with snow. Seriously?!  I love me some cooler weather and all the outfit options that come with it, but snow? Not so much.

How nice outfit, I like the color scheme. It is a bold and daring look, but it works, because the skirt and sweater are very pretty and pink shirt is perfect. I really like your necklaces and the color of your hair.

Looking wonderful. I love the buttons down the back. It’s detailing like this that makes a piece really amazing I think.

Be forewarned…this comment has a suggestion. :o) Ok, so I was looking at this outfit and saying out loud that I thought I would like it better with a different color of tights. Hubby came over to take a look and said, “Yeah, something like Maroon.” I said, “OhMyGosh, I think you’re right!” So now you know why I married him. If you do try Maroon tights, please let us know how it looks. :o)

Oh, I almost forgot…love the back story (pun intended, hehe).

Yes, maroon would work, I agree. My dog ate my maroon tights…I am not even making that up. Last winter, before I even wore them, one of my little furry girls chewed the toes out of them. I’m lazy and I hate tights so I haven’t bought more. I’ll check when I’m out today and give it a try.

Oh my goodness, now you have me laughing. Students tell the teacher the dog ate their homework, the teacher tells her blog friends the dog ate her tights! :o)
