Plaid And Some Hip Bling

I have a whole batch of these sweaters in different colors.  The only problem is the neckline makes it tricky to find the right necklace.  So I figured why waste the time looking for the right necklace when I can just throw some broaches on?  And then I thought there was no need to do what what expected (what fun is that?) so I pinned ’em on at hip level.  Ya, I’m crazy like that.  Dangerous.  Scary.  Just plain, reckless.
I’m still working on getting the lighting right on these indoor pictures.  Just yesterday my hair twin Suzanne commented on the fact she liked the lighting in the photos.  I was feeling pretty damn proud of myself until I saw today’s shots.  Did you ever see the movie Ghost?  The one with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze?  Well, the shadows behind me remind of the shadowy/demon things in the movie that came out to drag people to hell.  Just an observation…

Indoor photo lighting is so annoying! Oh well, shadows are part of real life! So I suppose they have a right to be photographed too…

Such a nice outfit! The pin on your hip is a lovely addition, and I like the tartan skirt with the red tights 🙂

I love this whole outfit! I want it all. So sexy retro. And the brooch at the bottom is genius. I am totally stealing that from you.

Thanks for the shout out : ) I know how hard it is to get decent lighting indoors when you don’t have any natural light. Even with natural light it can be tough. I have found it quasi impossible to get rid of shadows in my indoor shots. I can reduce them greatly in Photoshop though under the filter shadows and highlights.

Once again I love the outfit!

bisous

Nicely done, dear Debbie! I love black and red together!! Now, I seriously can’t fathom the fact that you haven’t ever seen ‘A Christmas Story’. It is on tbs for 24 hours on Christmas Day, it is. You need to see it and you’ll be hooked. It is about this little boy’s view on Christmas as a child. He narrates it and it is hilarious. It is a true story of a kid growing up in a middle class family in Indiana in the 50’s and his Christmas wish for a Red Ryder BB Gun. You’ll love it. It has… Read more »

I know, I know…I told you I’m a loser! Ha! I haven’t seen it, but I am vaguely aware of the iconic scenes/lines in it. I promise…I’ll try to watch it this season!
