Ya, so I planned on taking today’s pics after school while my daughter was at gymnastics. There’s a really cool field behind the gym that I thought would be perfect. And it would’ve been, had it not been pouring down rain. Hence the inside shots. Believe me, I’m not complaining about the rain. I mean, after all, it wasn’t SNOW! And it was still in the low 50’s so I’m cool with some precipitation. My flowers are starting to poke their little heads out of the ground so the rain is good for them. The flowers are one of my most favorite things about warmer weather. Our yard is full of them and when it’s nice out I like to sit in the backyard and just look at them. I actually keep fresh cut flowers in the house all year, but they are so much better when they are growing outside.
As is my usual modus operandi, I took my fancy tulle skirt, sparkly necklace and leopard pumps and “casualed” (yep, I just made that up…I turned “casual” into a verb) them down with a graphic tee and knotted cardigan. I just don’t like throwin’ all my fancy together all at once. It’s good to keep ’em guessing and anyways I’m not a super fancy kind of girl. I always need at least one small element of casual to feel like myself.
