The color of the skirt in these photos is beautiful. Unfortunately, it’s not the actual color…actually it’s hot pink. I wore it in the fall and the photos were taken outside (which I know is the best light) and the color was completely accurate. Obviously the magical color changing abilities of my camera have something to do with the indoor lighting and/or flash. I’m going to have to be a googlin’ fool this weekend and see if I can find an answer to my conundrum. Either way I love this skirt. The color is truly gorgeous and it fits perfectly thanks to my friendly neighborhood seamstress. I really like the way it pops against the black sweater, tights, and pumps. Speaking of which, check it out…I wore footwear that didn’t cover my whole foot, and I wore them outside. How cool is that?!
I gotta say though, today probably wasn’t the best day for a lace pencil skirt and pumps. I ended up crawling around on the floor playing a vocabulary game and studying for a 4th grade Science test with my kids. So ya, maybe something a bit more conducive to mobility would have worked out better. That would be why I typically dress more on the casual side, because you never know when you’re going to suddenly be called to duty on the floor. Think about it…how many jobs are there where that’s a possibility during your workday?! Believe me, after teaching high school for 18 years, that’s something I’m still not used to because if you’re on the floor at the high school you’re probably having a really bad day…
