Here’s another one of my “two pairs of shoes, one outfit” posts. I actually wore the sandals all day and just threw the sneakers on when I left for home. But I figured since they looked pretty cool with the skirt I’d snap a few shots. This is one of those casual/dressy outfits I’m known for. I love how the simple plain gray tee plays off of the bright pink lace skirt. I just feel like “me” when I’m dressed like this.
I really believe that how you dress is a reflection of your personality, or at the very least who you want to be at that specific moment in time. I think my little niche as the casual/dressy chick comes from the two very opposing forces of my personality. On one hand, I grew up poor on the proverbial “wrong side of the tracks” and can swear and brawl with the best of ’em. Then on the other hand, I put myself through college including a Master’s program and a school administration certification program, and face the world every day as a professional educator. I can be dressed in my best teacher outfit, but if someone messes with me or the people I love I can develop a case of what I fondly call “trailer park Tourette’s” in under five seconds flat. So there you have it…I just psychoanalyzed my wardrobe for ya.
