I decided that I’d had enough of my indoor shots. Much like I’ve had enough of this ridiculously bad winter. So I headed outside to brave the elements and shoot this outfit…I’ve never used my fancy pants camera in the snow and these shots came out a bit overexposed. I’ve since done some research on shooting in snow and I’m pretty sure with some experimenting I can do it better next time. The question is, will there be a next time? I was only out there for a few minutes, but by the time I finished I’m pretty sure it would have been possible to snap off my fingers and toes. My snow beast (aka the sheltie) photo bombed me numerous times, but the rest of the pack thought mama had lost her mind and demanded to be let back in the house.
Let’s talk about this supremely fabulous coat for a moment, shall we? My bestie gave it to me years ago. This sweet little old lady down the street didn’t want it anymore (crazy,yes?) and gave it to my friend who in turn handed it off to me. It has got to be my all time favorite winter coat. The color is crazy bright and it is super duper warm and cozy. I don’t think there has been one time I’ve worn it that at least one person hasn’t complimented it. I’m not sure why that sweet lady wanted to part with it, but I’m sure glad she did. Nothing beats a bright, cheery, warm and best of all free winter coat!
