Have you ever heard of Lularoe? To be perfectly honest with you, until a few months ago I hadn’t either. It’s a clothing line designed and made entirely in the United States; which in and of itself is rare these days. All of the fabric prints used are designed exclusively for Lularoe so the items are unique; once they’re gone, they’re gone. While they do have a website that you can order from, the real bones of the business are the independent business owners. My opportunity for this collaboration came through one of these ladies. Sadi, from Lulagirlsblog.com found me via Instagram and asked if I’d be interested in collaborating with her. I checked out the company/clothing online and thought it sounded like a good fit. The ladies sell through home parties, pop up shops and a variety of other events. It’s kind of a cool concept because it gives women who have always wanted to own their own clothing boutique the chance to do just that without the risk. The way the business is structured makes it perfect for stay-at-home moms as well as for women who would enjoy the extra cash (and super cute clothes) that a side job would provide. If Lularoe sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to contact Sadi at sadi.lularoe@gmail.com and she’ll be more than happy to answer all of your questions.
The striped pencil skirt itself is truly awesome. No, really. It is. It’s well made and the material is thick enough to hide any bits you might want hidden, yet lightweight enough that it’s super comfortable. It has a solid high quality feel to it. The skirt was just begging me (it was begging…I heard it myself) to dress it down with a graphic tee and chambray, but it could be just as easily dressed up with a blazer and heels. Next on my list from Lularoe is the Madison Skirt. Why? Because it has pockets. Pockets people! And you all know I’m a lover of all things with pockets.
