Survival Dressing: Chunky Sweater, Black Maxi And Galaxy Print Scarf

This is what I call stylish survival gear. A maxi skirt is like the Macguyver of the clothing world. It can be dressed up or down, it’s cool and light for summer dressing, but can keep you super cozy in the Arctic. Today is obviously the Arctic version. I’ve got leggings and thick socks layered under this baby. Paired with the chunky cable knit sweater, layered tank, and infinity scarf it was like being wrapped in sunshine. Okay, so I exaggerate, but it was pretty damn warm. And if I had gotten lost in the wilderness, I could have always used it to make a fine shelter against the elements. See, very Macguyver-like.

Sweater: Old Navy (No longer available);  Skirt: TJ Maxx (In-store purchase);  Boots: Target (No longer available);  Scarf: Gift

My black maxi skirt is probably the most versatile piece in my wardrobe too! Glad you could use yours to keep you warm with all of the layers 🙂

I agree about the skirt. When I got mine a couple of years back it felt like I lived in it. The only problem I find is that being black, and being jersey, my white pug hairs were everywhere. Another reason why you don’t often see me wearing darker colours. Ah what we do for our babies.

You look cozy in this.

Loved the last comment you made on my blog : )

Well, it’s true about the lack of manners. And dog hair…don’t get me started! Funny thing is the hair from the pug and bully breeds is some of the worst I’ve ever seen even though it’s short…it’s like little needles weaving through everything it touches…

Wow! Debbie, your photos have a nice softness to them, that I dig. What did you do? cool. I love this ensemble and I love your McGuyver survival attitude and approach. Good! So sorry it is horrid weather for you. Ours is so not bad. I feel guilty. I should, huh? lol
