Taking Down The Tree

Today I’m going to work on stripping the ornaments from the tree.  We’ve already gotten all of the other decorations arranged in neat stacks on the dining room table. All that’s left is the tree, and of course the required trek to the attic to fetch all of the storage bins.  Why so soon you might ask?  While it’s true I love the holidays, once it’s over, it’s over.  I’m ready to move forward.  All Christmas must be eradicated from the house prior to me returning to work.  It’s a mental thing.
Believe me, I’m in no rush for January to get here.  I do believe that due to some sort of tear in the time space continuum, January is the single longest most never-ending month of the year. Although the end of the second nine weeks grading period falls in January, so that means we’re halfway to summer.  Now there’s a happy thought…

I wasn’t planning on including this shot, but how could I resist the baby bully photo bomb?!

A comfy but nevertheless marvellous look Debbie! I love the lace top mixed with the woolen sweater and the baroque pattern of your skinnies.

We already took our tree down, too! I was sad to see it go but it was nice to get everything all organized and less cluttered!

I saw some blah suede boots very similar to those while our thrifting last week, now why didn’t I buy them and throw them in some dye??? I’ll just stare at yours and dream for a while I guess.

Taking down the tree very soon! January is always so dark, but I always put up a smaller tree and turn it into a Valentine’s Day tree with heart ornaments!

I like how you layered the lace hemline top with those camo pants. It adds a nice feminine accent. You look so cozy. I love the color of the scarf.
I visited from Creative Mondays. I hope you have a great New Year’s Eve.
