Target Buzz: Gray Tee, Red Shorts And Platform Sandals

What is it about walking into a Target and wanting to spend money? Is it just me? Seriously, no other store has quite the same effect on me. I look around and think “I’ll take this, and this, and oooo…two of these!” Is it because I don’t have a Target right close to me? It’s only about a 35 minute drive, but still, it’s not like I can just “run down to Target real quick”. Can I just say how disappointed I was a few years ago when a new building was going up about six miles from home and the rumor was it was a Target. And then…a Kohl’s…that was just a cruel joke.
It doesn’t happen when I’m online shopping at Target, only in the actual store. Do they pump in some sort of inhalant that makes people want to buy things, kind of a like a hit of shopping acid? Then when you get home you come down from the high and wake up buried in a pile of cardigans and tee shirts wondering what in the hell happened. Hmmm…maybe I just have issues.
I wore this get up when my daughter and I went shopping…at Target, hence the questioning of their use of hallucinogenics. I got these red shorts at GAP last year when I was on a khaki shorts kick. I have several colors, but for some reason I wear them mostly to work. (unrolled and with a blazer…I’m not a total rebel) It’s strange, when I have something I wear mostly for work I sometimes don’t think to wear it in the real world. Wonder why that is? I paired them with a gray tee and brown sandals, because really, don’t gray tees and brown sandals pretty much go with everything?

Target is my Disneyland. And yes, I think they pipe in some serious, mind-effing narcotics up in there. The good news for me is that I do most of my Target shopping online so I go into the brick and mortar just long enough to return things. ;p

I’m glad it isn’t just me. I always wish for a Target close to home, but alas, maybe it’s for the best… 🙂

I love these shorts and the color combo of your top and shorts. I recently took pictures in a similar look. Great minds think alike! A great look for some girl!

I love your shorts and intricate chain necklace. I have similar pink Gap chino shorts but believe it or now I don’t own a plain gray tee. LOL

Welcome by sometime. I love hearing from you. Enjoy the rest of your week, Debbie. =)

You look fabulous and all summery with your wonderful figure!Oh, Debbi … you KNOW I identify! Kohl’s isn’t bad, but not what you want if you’re wishing for a Target. Yup, for me it is the distance, at least a little. At minimum, I have to take the time to cruise my favorite deprartments. There’s no “just running in” when I have to drive 45 minutes to get to it. Ours isn’t a very large one, and in a mall with our only Old Navy, Charming Charlie, Dress Barn, Best Buy, Shoe Carnival and ULTA … they all need a… Read more »

Ya, Kohl’s is okay…but it’s definitely no Target!! And yes, I definitely have to share the love with all of the stores when I make the road trip to the mall. 🙂

Love the color of the shorts on you, and your sandals are very pretty! Deb, I feel the same way in the Target store, it was kind of cool when they brought designer lines in, but even with out, I seem to find things there too. I agree, I never shop there online. Shopping in stores does exhaust ya though, or is it just me!
