The Stylish Goat Farmer

My husband and I were headed to a friend’s house for a fire and cookout.  I came into the kitchen in my super fine outfit with my camera in hand.  He asked what I had the camera for.  I said, “This outfit is too cute to not get pictures.”  His response was, “Um, ya. If you’re a goat farmer.”  I laughed my ass off and said, “Ya, if you’re a totally cool goat farmer!”  Hence, the post title.
Rain boots are one of those things I’ve been saying I needed, literally for years.  I never picked a pair up because I didn’t really like them, it was more of a necessity thing.  Kind of like buying a bra. No fun.  Especially when it’s something you need to wear when you’re cleaning up dog poop in the back yard.
Last month I saw a really cool pair in one of my magazines, can’t remember which one, and they were moto style. I loved them immediately, but they were something like $90.  Cute yes, but the fact remained they were for utility, not fashion so there was no way I was spending $90.  I happened to be at Sears one day looking for ballet flats for my daughter when lo and behold, a light shined down from shoe heaven on a pair of rubber moto style boots for $29 and I thought, “Oh, yes. You will be mine.”  And so here they are, the rubber boots every trendy goat farmer needs.

Every goat farmer wishes they looked like you. :o)

When you told about the light shining down from shoe heaven, I automatically heard Angels singing. :o)

Not too bad for a goat farmer! Your story about his response made me laugh! My husband totally comes up with varying names for my outfits, depending on what he thinks I look like!

Perfect name for this outfit and since I have a slight obsession with goats, this look is def up my alley! Been a goat fan since childhood ( tangent here) and after watching that Jennifer Lopez movie where she dates a guy who makes chevre I started asking my husband if we could get a few goats…it hasn’t happened yet but if we eventually move to Canada I am hoping he will give in 🙂
