I am not complaining about the weather, oh, no I’m not. Friday I was able to take my photos outside without being flash frozen, therefore it was a fabulous day in the weather department. With that being said, there was quite a strong wind blowin’ around out there. And to further exacerbate that, the way in which our yard is fenced in creates a small wind tunnel. Sooo….photography was a challenge, but I refused to go inside because it was no nice out. Of course the biggest gusts would come through just as the timer went off on the camera. But I did manage to get some shots of my supremely awesome coat.
Last summer I was on a merciless hunt for a vintage trophy jacket on Ebay. I finally found two that I purchased. One of them fits like it was made for me, but this one not so much. I believe it was made for some extinct species of 1970’s female who had a small body with Popeye size forearms. I mean seriously, when is a jacket too big in the forearms!? I don’t mean just too long in the sleeves, I mean I could fit maybe three more arms in there with mine. I asked my seamstress what the cost would be to alter it and her response was something like, “You don’t even want to know.” That’s kind of like Price Available Upon Request in the fashion magazines which is code for “No, you cannot have it.” So sadly, I think I’m going to have to sell it on Ebay. At least she got one spin on the blog so we could all admire her greatness.
