Tulle And Leopard

I finally got a tulle skirt and I love it!  Let me start by saying it’s very fluffy, thus making me look very “fluffy”.  But guess what?  I don’t care because it’s awesome.  What’s even more awesome is it was under $15 including shipping.  Nice, right? I decided to go with booties as opposed to pumps because pumps would take it a little too far in the girly direction for my liking.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I can be as girly as the next girl.  I just typically like a little bit of edge or some sort of opposing element in my outfits.
The skirt reminds me of this dress my grandma had when I was little.  The dress was this sweet little blue tulle number from the 50’s, and she would let me play dress up in it.  I always felt like a princess whenever I had it on.  I would kill to still have it today. Unfortunately, it did not survive years of me running through the woods and climbing trees in it.  I was a princess of the tree climbing variety. I think that’s probably the best kind of princess…the kind who can rock a tulle skirt, but still take care of business when need be.

Oh that is such a beautiful skirt!

I like it so much with the boots, perfect complimentary footwear for it 🙂

I never thought of pairing my tulle with booties.

Is the colour cream or light yellow? It is hard to tell from the photos.

Mine made me look fluffy too. I always need to have a big belt with it.

The leopard is great.

Very eclectic creative outfit.

It’s cream, but I guess it did photograph a bit yellowish. When I saw the pictures I was thinking a belt, definitely will give a belt a try next time…or maybe a more fitted top.

Such a great combination of the boots and the skirt! Looks edgy but yet still girly! Love it! I too would kill to still have some of my grandma’s clothes that I used to play dress up in! 🙂
