I have come to the conclusion that there is some sort of tear in the time-space continuum…
Since physics isn’t exactly my strong suit, perhaps that’s the wrong terminology, but I’m pretty sure you guys know what I mean. Seriously, wasn’t the first day of Spring like last week? And now it’s August in two more days. We all know what that means; August is the Sunday of Summer. In other words it’s just about time for the fat lady to sing; the fun and games will be over and it will once again be time to get down to the serious business of Fall. Believe me, I’m not trying to rush things. That time-space continuum thing is doing the rushing for us. Doesn’t it seem like the older you get, the faster the time goes? What the hell is that all about anyways? Just when you get to the point in life where you at least kind of have the important crap figured out, somebody hits the fast forward button on the remote control. Not cool I say, just not cool.
If life insists on going by at the speed of a hummingbird on meth, at least I have this outrageously fabulous piece of bling to wear around my neck to make the ride more enjoyable. I kid you not, this may well be my most favorite blingtastic statement necklace ever. I have been drooling over it for months ever since I saw it on the Headline Boutique’s Instagram feed. I finally decided to grab one for myself last week. I’m glad I did because it truly is an outfit maker. This white tee and the denim boyfriend shorts are fine on their own, but throw in the necklace and red Converse and it’s a whole different game going on. And to sweeten the deal I was carrying my leopard clutch (here’s a similar one), but somehow I forgot to include it in the photos. If you’re so inclined, you can always pop over to my Instagram to check out a shot with the clutch. To me, this outfit is the perfect example of how accessories and shoes can make all the difference. The necklace, Converse and phantom clutch (honest, I did have it) took the ordinary and made it super fly, you know, kinda like a hummingbird on meth.
