Quite honestly, no. I wasn’t feeling festive when I wore this. Not that I’m anti-Christmas or anti-festive. That just wasn’t necessarily what I was aiming for. I wore it because I love this particular plaid flannel shirt, and I thought it looked good under the chunky cable knit sweater. And as usual, there must be neck bling. Looking in the mirror in the morning I didn’t think, “Hmm…festive and Christmasy.” But I guess that’s one of the hazards of wearing anything red this time of year, especially when it’s paired with sparkly, shiny things; it immediately reads “festive”.
Now that the turkey is gone and we’re on the downhill side towards Christmas, I’m all for festive. And no, just because I teach in an elementary school that DOES NOT mean I will be breaking out the ugly Christmas sweaters and applique sweatshirts. Needless to say, not my thing. But I can’t promise you the Grinch won’t be making an appearance or two.
