Yesterday was the first day of summer break. The one day I can just sleep until I want and then putz around doing whatever I like. Um, no. My adopted mom had to be at the hospital at 5 a.m. for a hip replacement surgery. Which means I was up at 4 a.m. All I can say to that is, “Ew, yuck.” At least that explains why I look delirious/semi-comatose in these pictures.
In the current era of lawsuits and such, some of the questions they ask you when you’re having anything medically related done are bizarre. And redundant. I do understand why they do it, but really, four different people asked her name and who her doctor is. My favorite was “Do you have any valuables with you?” The answer was “no” so one would think that should cover it. But no. Then we had to ask, “Do you have a wallet with you?”, “Do you have any jewelry?”, “Do you have credit cards or cash with you?” Seriously, didn’t the do you have any valuables question cover all of that?! Maybe I was just tired and cranky since it was five in the morning, but I’m pretty sure that would be ridiculous at any time of day.
This isn’t actually what I was wearing first thing in the morning. Believe me, no one needs to see that hot mess. This was after a nap and shower. Imagine the disaster I was prior to that. Since I wanted to be comfortable, but not sloppy when I went back out into the world I went with the basic cami and denim boyfriend shorts, but threw the sheer floral blouse on top. The last time I wore this little thrifted beauty was here with my pink moto jacket and jeans. One of these days I’ll have to try dressing it up a bit.
