Print Mixing Part 2

The first time I wore stripes and florals together at work, a coworker asked if that was okay to do.  Of course it is! As long as there’s a similar or complementary color in the prints, and it’s easier to pull off if you’re working with one larger and one smaller print. My favorite way to do it is with stripes and florals. They just look right together. I went with nude pumps, but if you’re feeling adventurous leopard print could work as well. That might seem like too much, but I view leopard as a neutral. I threw in a statement necklace because you can never go wrong with some fabulous neck bling! Today I’m linking up with Tori from My Thrifty Chic. Stop by and check out her blog. It’s full of great styling ideas on the cheap.

Print Mixing

Stripes and camo…who knew? I got the idea from the May issue of Instyle.

I know that as long as your prints are in the same color family you can mix away, but pairing camo and stripes never occurred to me. I likey! I added the neon belt and necklace for a pop of color. My camo tee actually came from the boys department at Kohls.  You gotta keep your options open, right?!  I have to get better at remembering to get pics of my shoes because my turquoise sandals also added some unexpected color…
