“Sprinter” Outfit: Black Track Pants, Red Sweater And Leopard Print Slip-Ons

The weather is certainly presenting somewhat of a fashion challenge lately. I guess we could call it “Sprinter”…not quite Spring, but no longer Winter. I adamantly refuse to wear anything woolly and warm, but I’m not out of my mind, so I haven’t yet busted out the tank tops and boyfriend shorts. This would be a “Sprinter”outfit. I’ve got on the light track pants with no under layer and no socks, but still a sweater up top. Not a bulky sweater, mind you, but a sweater nonetheless.
Do you know how excited I was to get these shoes? I’ve been obsessing for weeks. I know, I know, everyone seems to have them and I don’t typically like to follow the crowd. But my personal rule for trendy items is, if I really, really love it than it is irrelevant if everyone else is wearing it. And by the same token, if no one else is wearing and I love it, than I wear it. If it makes me happy that’s all that matters. And these make me happy. Oh yes they do.

The lovely Paige at Life’s A Party Dress Like It chose me as her featured blogger this week. Stop over and say hello. Her blog is super fun and she’s a sweetheart!

I have the same rule when it comes to trends. Usually when something’s popular I don’t like it….but sometimes a trend is so perfect for me (i.e. brightly colored skinny jeans) that I just embrace it and possible wear the clothes resulting much longer than the actual trend lasts….

I wear things until I no longer love them…even if it isn’t “cool”.

I’m definitely feeling the “sprinter” weather right now. It’s flurrying outside! I love the red sweater and floral necklace! It adds the perfect Spring touch.

I always love red and leopard together.

It is not Spring here whatsoever. Definately winter still. (sob)

Red and leopard were made for each other. The warmth is in and out here…hopefully now it’s mostly in. Hope it comes your way soon my friend!

Your fashion rule is a very, very good one! I decided something along those same lines about a year ago. Prior to that, I had missed out on wearing some things that I really, really wanted to. All because I didn’t want to follow everybody else! I’m pretty sure it has something to do with wearing a school uniform all those years. :o) Who was I kidding anyways? I can wear something trendy and still be unique! I managed to find ways to express myself in that uniform. :o)

That necklace with the fabulous red jumper are just fabulous together. Love your term Sprinter – couldn’t agree more.
