Since becoming a part of The Fierce 50 Campaign so many great things have come my way…
THE STORY
…First and foremost are the new friendships that have grown between those of us who are a part of it. I’ve met some truly amazing women that I wouldn’t have otherwise had the opportunity to meet. We now have a Facebook group open to any and all who are interested in engaging in a community of like-minded fierce women; women who believe that there is no expiration date not only on style, but on enjoying life to it’s fullest. You can find the link as well as more information by clicking The Fierce 50 tab at the top of this page.
One of the biggest corporate supporters of the campaign has been Chico’s. They are all about supporting women while helping them to look and feel their fabulous best. The white beaded bracelet I’m wearing today is actually a gift from Chico’s. It’s their girlfriend bracelet, and each of us received one in a variety of colors as their way of showing support for the campaign. And Chico’s isn’t stopping there.
This Thursday evening from 5-9 p.m. Chico’s boutiques around the country are hosting a Best Friends and Fashion (BFF…get it?) event at their stores. Several of us from The Fierce 50 Campaign will be at select locations to mix, mingle and help with styling fabulous looks for customers! How fun is that? Be sure to stop by a Chico’s near you on Thursday evening for fun, fashion and a little girl time. If you happen to be in my neck of the woods, I hope to see you there!
THE OUTFIT
I have had an ongoing blush crush for months now; and it seems to have intensified now that it color coordinates with my hair. 🙂 I swear, this blush cardigan is on constant repeat and has definitely earned it’s keep. And what footwear could be more perfect with it then my favorite floral print ankle boots? This is a perfect Winter to Spring transition look; the cardigan and joggers kept me warm while the lace tank top, floral booties and blush shade of the cardi made the whole outfit Spring ready.
I kept the base of the look in the subtle neutral range as well. The cream joggers are comfortable and just cozy enough for this ridiculous in-between weather. They hit the just right tonal note with the cream lace tank top and suede belt. If you work in a more casual environment, this is the perfect way to slide joggers into your work-wear. By pairing them with something like the lace top and cardigan, I’ve made them casual work appropriate whereas had I paired them with a tee and Adidas they’d be ready for casual errand Saturday.
THE TIP
Sometimes getting dressed between seasons can be tricky. Just be sure you’re warm enough while still looking ready for Spring. Layer a cardigan in a Spring friendly shade like a pastel or neutral over top of a lacy or perhaps floral print tank top. On the bottom really anything goes; joggers, pants, jeans, or even a skirt. If you go with a skirt and it’s still a bit nippy out, throw on a pair of over the knee boots and you’re good to go.
